In the beginning of 1978, my best friend Alain Pugin and I started a yearlong trip throughout Canada and the USA. We had saved enough money to sustain the length of this travel. Alain was to make a good companion on a long and tumultuous trip. This trip was very personal for me –a lifelong dream was about to become true. I was leaving without any definite plan in mind, just to see as much of the new world as I could. From Canada to the USA, from the Rockies to the beaches of California, I wanted to see it all.
