Washington DC II
I was in awe facing this symbolic sculpture erected in the nation’s capital. This 555 feet high Washington Monument towers over everything in Washington, DC and is one of the tallest masonry structures in the world. As I wandered around I realized that the Monument was sitting within a circle. Afterwards I learned the significance of a hidden meaning, the obelisk was the most recognized of all phallic symbols and when the obelisk was depicted within a circle, it represented the sex act.
